I am selling this model NAD 3130 amplifier in excellent refurbished condition. Please view the photographs carefully. Conservatively rated at 30 watts/channel and with the excellent and renowned pre-amp for vinyl reproduction. Everything works as it should. The front fascia is in excellent condition with ‘sharp’ corners and clear graphics. The internals are free from dust, rust and corrosion. The PCB, professionally cleaned, is visible in my picture of ‘under the hood’. There are a few minor marks to the top cover. The amp, fully repaired, serviced and re-calibrated with matching power transistors refitted to the heatsink over new heat-transfer pads to both channels to replace defective transistors and to preserve the fabulous NAD sound whilst improving thermal stability. The center volts and quiescent current parameters have adjusted to exact original factory settings: new multi-turn trim pots installed for precise setting of quiescent current. Other pots and switches are cleaned and lubricated so are smooth and silent in operation. The amp is completely original apart from the heat-transfer pads and replaced transistors mentioned earlier. It sounds as it should – musical and controlled. Typically NAD with soft-clipping to prevent damage to loudspeakers when over-driven. Has switchable facility for the vinyl user with MM and MC (low output) cartridges, and includes a selectable rumble filter (INFRA DEFEAT) for turntable filtering so ideal for the vinyl user with a less than perfect turntable. Note: The footprint of a 3130 is an ideal size upon which to site a record deck (420 x 381 mm). My PL12D lived on top the amp.
