You really cannot (should not) run two Model 800 transmitters together due to a maximum of four channels syncing to four amplifiers.If you have never used wireless 2.4 GHz stereo equipment then please be aware that it is sensitive to other wireless interference and power supplies. In my experience these systems work great in large rooms that are difficult to run wires across. I have experienced lots of feedback and interference in small rooms. The Model 880 amplifiers will amplify lots of noise depending on what is near it (e.g., I do not recommend putting one by a high powered device like a PC or large appliance). I recommend using high quality power strip/surge protector and would consider ones that include conditioners (e.g., Furman) if you have other powered device near the speakers to minimize noise. The model 1700 is less susceptible to noise and interference because it is lower power (40 watt compared to 80 watt Model 880s) and the line of sight transmission. It is very good in small rooms in my experience.
