Selling my Metrum Acoustics Amethyst (120v) with both DAC3 and DAC2 modules. Easy to swap to your preferred sound (just need a small hex key allen wrench to pop off the top). To my ears, DAC3 provides a noticeably higher resolution sound, increasing the soundstage and filling out the highest and lowest parts of the spectrum, but DAC2 still has a bit of analog warmth and charm. This unit was sent directly to Metrum Acoustics in October 2022 for the DAC3 upgrade and to get everything checked out and confirm everything is in perfect working order. There is a small fleck on the volume dial (shown in a close-up photo) as well as a small nick on one of the corners of the face plate (also see close-up photo). Otherwise, the unit is in excellent condition, as it was used lightly. Im selling because Im slowly stepping away from audio, as work and family have begun to take up more and more of my time.
