I found a photo online to see what it looks like with the protective film removed as I dont want to remove that protective film. Monitor Audio Airstream A100 Amplifier with Apple Airplay. 50watt rms per channel class AB integrated amplifier. It has, in addition to Airplay, three other inputs, namely an analogue input for connection to, say, a CD player or to a Radio tuner, a Toslink optical digital input and a digital USB input on the front for connection to a computer or ipad/iphone/ipod. Switching between the inputs is by buttons on the front of the amplifier, or by using the included remote control. If, for example, a device such as an iphone/ipad/ipod is connected by a cable into the USB socket on the front, this bypasses the 16bit DAC in the device and uses the high resolution DAC in the Airstream amplifier. Connecting using Airplay down-samples any high resolution to 16bit, CD resolution before transmission. This amplifier has Apple Airplay built in so for a simple system just add a pair of speakers and stream any audio from your iphone or ipad to this amplifier.
