AKAI ASE-20 vintage headphones. Circa 1973. In very good condition, just some very small spots of wear at one end of the headpiece, see pics. Some very thin oxidising to metal fittings. The headphones have individually adjustable volumes on each earpiece. The phones work but I can’t vouch for their sound quality against modern phones, I have tinnitus and HF loss so they sound quite ‘boxy’ to me. Still, they’re working and look cool and retro! Also, they’re very comfortable and they completely block out outside noise. Thanks

Vintage Akai ASE-9S Headphones - 1970s Excellent Condition Working & Boxed. Fantastic condition Vintage white headphones. These have been stored under the bed at a relatives house for the best part of 30 years so have seen little daylight recently. They come with original instruction/ specification sheet and adaptor Jack . In original box with internal holder piece, they even have a plastic bag which I’m guessing is original but can’t confirm. The headphones are in great condition, they work fine and the ear cushions are excellent with no tears.The box is intact with a few tears and marks as can be seen in the pictures but not bad for something that’s over 50 years old I guess. Note the relative was a smoker so not from a smoke free home

These headphones came in an auction job lot, so unfortunately I am unable to give you any history on them. The headphones do look to have been cared for and still have their original box, which does show wear and tear from storage. They are untested by me, however if there is some important information you need or further photos I can supply, please ask. Thanks for looking.
