Overview It has almost the same configuration as the GX-Z9000, but the capstan drive motor has been changed to an FG servo DD motor and dbx NR is not included. The chassis structure and other details have also been changed. LC-OFC wire-wound Super GX heads are used for the recording and playback heads.LC-OFC (linear crystalline oxygen-free copper) is made of oxygen-free copper crystals stretched into a linear shape, and the number of crystal grain boundaries with a capacitor effect is reduced to approximately 1/7,500 of that of ordinary tough pitch copper. In addition, it has the advantage of having no rectifying effect (semiconductors) due to copper zinc oxide (Cu2O). Therefore, whereas tough pitch copper is considered to be a concatenation of many capacitors and semiconductors, LC-OFC greatly improves on them, resulting in a significant reduction in transmission distortion. Especially in playback heads with minute signal current levels, resolution is greatly improved, enhancing the clarity of the music.The core of the Super GX head is made of ferrite, which has excellent high-frequency characteristics and is processed with high precision using our proprietary technology. This provides sound quality features such as low loss in the high frequency range, wide frequency response, and low distortion. Other advantages include resistance to magnetization, wear resistance, dust adhesion, and low modulation noise due to friction with the tape.
