A rare and high end deck from Akai from the 1970s. Made in Japan. Extremely good build quality and quality parts used throughout. This is a fantastic deck that is highly sought after. This example is in very good, clean cosmetic condition and has been looked after by just the one owner since new. It is in good working order. Barely any marks on it at all. Just one little scratch on the top right of the unit. Its in amazing condition ... especially considering its age! Everything powers up and all buttons and lights work perfectly. The VU meter is working well also and is nice and bright. I have replaced all the belts with brand-new ones and replaced the rubber idler tire ( a time consuming and tricky job if I do say so myself). Ive also thoroughly cleaned the capstan and shafts plus the pinchroller. It is now in great shape and works well after this service. All functions work and it sounds fantastic, especially when playing quality tapes on it. Please study the pictures carefully for a better idea of condition and features.
