Questo amplificatore risale ai primi anni 80, in piena golden era dellalta fedeltà, quando Akai era ancora Akai, ovvero, un produttore che risiedeva nellolimpo dei big dellhi-fi del sole levante. E perfettamente funzionante, solidamente costruito in Giappone e in condizioni estetiche invidiabili. E spartano, essenziale, con i suoi inconfondibili wu meter a led di colore rosso, unottima sezione phono ed è dotato della separazione Pre Out-Main in e questo lo rende utilizzabile anche come solo preamplificatore o come finale di potenza. Questo amplificatore si presta quindi a diventare il punto di riferimento per qualsiasi futuro aggiornamento di un impianto audio stereo hi-fi di livello superiore. È lanima che può dar vita a un ottimo primo impianto entry level ma pronto ad accoglierne i futuri upgrade e miglioramenti. Ma passiamo al suono... Le sue caratteristiche principali sono la neutralità e la chiarezza. Intendiamoci, non che gli manchino dinamica e la capacità di erogare potenza ma si fa apprezzare principalmente per lattitudine a non colorare il suono, a restare trasparente, mantenendo il calore tipico dellanalogico di quegli anni. La resa musicale resta sempre autentica e coinvolgente, sia in vinile che in digitale.
