This machine is in good condition, sounds great and comes fully serviced. A new belt is fitted, and the speeds are checked & calibrated. The fidelity of the heads are fine.   Interfaces via standard phono connectors (supplied) to modern hi-fi systems. These are easy to use, have 2 speeds (71/2 fps and 3 3/4 fps) and play standard stereo (2 track) tapes in both directions.   It is supplied with mains lead, phono leads, a reel of tape and a take-up spool.   The veneer is in good overall condition but has some light scuffs & scratches. There are some slight marks & dents on the faceplate by the left reel mount. As illustrated in the pictures.    We offer a 30-day no-quibble guarantee, if it goes wrong we will fix it at our expense.

It is in good condition albeit with scuffs, and marks nicks and face plate wear . Wooden cabinet is in fairly good condition with some wear as shown. Refer to pics. It has been tested, serviced, calibrated and the heads were cleaned and demagnetized for the best sound ever. The mic inputs were tested and they work as well as the other inputs. The pots and switches were sprayed and the metal parts were lubed as well. Both channels are clear and superb sounding as well. The belts and caps were checked and they’re good. All the functions work and the VU Meters light up and jump like they are supposed to. The sound when recording at 3 3/4 IPS is very clear and better and wider sounding than the Source recording from, depending on the type of tape used and better at 7 1/2 IPS (with speed sleeve) . The heads are also in very good shape which is obviously why the quality is awesome as well. Pictured reels , are my personal set for testing, for demonstration purposes only and NOT INCLUDED. Biete hier aus einem Nachlass ein Akai Tonband aus den 70 Jahren an. Das Tonband spielt einwandfrei ab und der Ton ist dabei richtig gut. Die Knackser auf dem Video kommen von meiner Kamera. Auch der schnelle Rücklauf geht gut, aber der schnelle Vorlauf hat Schwierigkeiten - muss angestoßen werden (siehe Video). Hier muss wahrscheinlich das Antriebsrad gereinigt oder getauscht werden. Der optische Zustand ist richtig gut. Zum Tonband gibt es noch einige bespielte Tonbänder (siehe Bild). Weitere Mängel kann ich nicht ausschließen, da das Tonbandgerät nicht mir gehört. Und hier die von der EU geforderten Angaben bei Privatverkäufen! Die neueste Gesetzgebung sieht vor, dass auch Privatverkäufer Garantie übernehmen, wenn sie nicht explizit ausgeschlossen ist. Ich als Privatverkäufer kann Ihnen leider keine Garantie oder Rücknahme anbieten! Die Ware befindet sich im beschriebenen Zustand und hat keine mir bekannten, offensichtlichen oder verdeckten zusätzlichen Mängel.Für verloren gegangene Warensendungen bekommen Sie von mir ihr Geld zurück. A brilliant vintage Akai 4000DB reel to reel, working and sounding pretty good! I have replaced the motor in this unit as the original had an annoying ticking noise and I have given it a good clean. There is a small piece of veneer missing on the bottom right as you can see in the pictures. The music in the video was recorded on this unit and everything seems to work as it should. This is the first one of these I have had and I am no expert in them, so please do ask questions if I havent covered something.Will be posted via tracked courier or can be collected from Hull.
