Akai 4000DS MK-II MK2 Reel To Reel Tape Recorder. New belts fitted, overall condition is very good especially the cabinet. Plays and records perfectly . Heads have been cleaned and demagnetized. Fast forward and rewind operates but nearing the end of the tape slows down and stops. Probably needs adjustment otherwise a very good machine. What you see in the photos is what you will receive. Vintage Akai 4000DS MK-II Reel To Reel Tape Player Selling as Spares Or Repair. A couple of bits bent and I didnt want to risk them breaking by trying to straighten them up. It does power on. Play does spin one Spool. Ff and rew doesnt seem to do anything. Has some flaking paint and a couple of dents. See pics for condition. I have other vintage items on other listings
