A rare and high end deck by Aiwa from the early 1980s. Made in Japan. Featuring Dolby HX professional circuitry for audibly better high frequency reproduction, the AD-F660 is a superbly designed deck with the capability to handle even the most demanding digital program material with flawless fidelity. Extremely good build quality and with high end parts used throughout. This is a fantastic deck that is highly sought after due to its excellent sound quality, host of features and beautiful 80s retro styling. This example is in very good, clean cosmetic condition and has been looked after by just the one owner since new. It has minimal age related wear. A few light marks but nothing significant and the front facia is excellent. Remarkable condition considering its age. The unit had been sat in storage for a few years. The belts were perished and it needed a service. I have spent hours fully servicing the deck and carried out the following: The front facia has been stripped and all buttons and switches, cleaned and relubricated (a common issue of these, as the old grease dries after years and the buttons become sticky and unresponsive). They are now lovely and clicky just like when new.The pinch rollers and head have been cleaned.The capstan shafts cleaned and relubricated.Brand new good quality belts fitted.Idler wheel inspected and cleaned.Whole mechanism cleaned and degreased and relubricated where necessary.Brand new mains UK Plug fitted.All switches and pots cleaned with contact clean.Whole deck cleaned throughly inside and out. It is now in great shape and works perfectly after this service. All functions work and it sounds fantastic, especially when playing quality tapes on it! A lovely example - cant be many left out there better than this! Das einwandfrei funktionierende und aktuell aufwändig überholte/reparierte Tapedeck darf nun auch meine Sammlung verlassen, da ein 770 eingezogen ist. Bei dem Gerät wurde Einiges gemacht: Flachriemen getauscht, Idler und Andruckrollen gereinigt (wie neu), verharzte Gelenke gangbar gemacht, Bias Oszillator repariert (defekter Transistor gewechselt (Originalteil)), diverse Reinigungsarbeiten. Optisch ist das Gerät auch ordentlich und sauber, allerdings ist die Gehäuseabdeckung unansehnlich, siehe Foto. Diese müsste man neu lackieren oder pulverbeschichten oder abschleifen - oder man stellt ein anderes Gerät drauf. Ich habe da nicht wirklich Möglichkeiten und verkaufe das Tape mit diesem rein optischen Mangel. Die Front hingegen sieht noch sehr schön aus wie ersichtlich.Das Angebot richtet sich natürlich an Sammler und Kenner, dennoch mal kurz die Ausstattungs-Highlights: 3-Kopf mit Hinterbandkontrolle, Dual Capstan, ADMS (autom.
