This is a very rare AIWA portable Cassette Recorder model # HS-J707. This model was released in 1992. Its been sitting inside my drawer for decades. It doesnt work at this point. You can use it for parts or repair it if you know how to repair. I plugged it into a power source and the digital display came on and there is noise coming from the built in speaker. Thats about it!! I wasnt sure if the motor was running or not. If it did, the belt is most likely broken since it was not turning the tape. Hopefully someone can repair it or salvage some parts from it to repair theirs. The top part is loose!! It might need some screws. This walkman is almost 30 years old obviously, that said, there are scratches, bumps all over and other flaws I may have overlooked. Rare and high end AIWA HS-JX707, the last of the HS series AIWA portable cassette players from 1991. Has voice navigation, which is functional. The radio on this unit work, and so do the headphones. Press play, FWD or REW and the voice talks to you and then immediately says stop and it stops. - the remote control is not responsive.- the Ni-Cad battery no longer holds any charge.- some scuffs on the AAA battery adapter.
