Adcom GFT-555 II AM/FM Stereo Tuner acquired from the original owner. Thoroughly tested this tuner works 100% in all respects. Every control, switch, display, etc. works as it should. Sound quality is outstanding. Using a thin double 300-ohm wire for an indoor antenna I was able to pull in a strong stereo signal for both local and distant stations. Cosmetically a few teeny, tiny scratches on the bezel edge that Superman would have a hard time finding and seeing. Please view the auction photos. What you see is Exactly what you get. This Adcom tuner is in excellent cosmetic and operational condition. I checked the preset memories and they all hold their presets. There is hardly a scratch or mark on the unit, from top to bottom.I tried to include some photos of both the top and bottom also to show there are no dents, just a few light scuff marks. The owners manual is included. Not that one is really necessary for this unit.

For sale is my Adcom GFT-555I Tuner. It provides 8 presets as well as up and down tuning for both AM and FM as well as FM scan. The unit is in excellent condition with only a few small nicks on the top edges. It has a fixed power cord, an FM antenna, and an AM loop antenna. It pulls in clear signals for the Classical radio stations from New York and Philadelphia (I am located in Central NJ). I purchased it new sometime in the late 1990s to use in my main system. In 2001, I moved it to my bedroom system after purchasing a Magnum Dynalab tuner. It has seen periodic light use in a smoke-free environment. Also included is a 9-page Owner’s Manual. I recently (yesterday) dismantled and sold most of my bedroom system so I am now selling this as well. It will be shipped in the original carton, however, since I no longer have the Styrofoam packing, it will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap with some extra padding around the front panel buttons.

I’ve used a simple aluminum FM dipole suspended from my basement ceiling tiles and have no problem tuning in stations that come in weakly in my truck. I also replaced the hard factory feet with soft rubber ones and the power cord - something I do in all my old electronics as the old PVC gets stiff like spaghetti - with a flexible coffee pot cord. Comes with what’s shown. Original AM loop antenna. LASER-printed copies of sales brochure, user manual, service manual. Original packaging, double-boxed for protection. Very clean, few scratched on top (they all do). Sorry, no returns. I’ve seen how packages are mishandled and I can’t guarantee this won’t get drop-kicked somewhere along the way. Read my feedback.

I am selling this item as we have had it for years and we do not need it. Tuner works great on AM/FM with a basic loop antenna! It does NOT come with antennas, so you will need to provide your own.
