I was going to restore some AR3as but I have too many projects. What you see zip tied on there is the packing protection ring. The rebuilder says they were obviously serviced before... hence the label from Fredericksburg. But that is OLD and these were just rebuilt a few weeks ago. Thats all I know about them. Im parting out the entire speakers... check my other listings. Note, Ive lately allowed winners the back out but Im not inclined to do that anymore. Dont bid unless you want it. Please.

It was a replacement that was in storage so long that the foam died. ALSO, if you are going to put these in EARLY AR3As as I was going to... I have the INDUCTOR that I got from my friend. Woofer. Professionally Rebuilt ( not by me ). HOWEVER... I did try to reform it with a kit from eBay that is cough cough, Easy to use... and I really slaughtered the job. Glue everywhere! In my hair. On the dog... wife still not talking to me. So, I sent it to a professional far far away and he rebuilt it after my awful work. That is why it is UGLY BUT... Tests well. Therefore, works as it should but its not going to be pretty. Bid accordingly. The bolts you see on it are for shipping to protect the foam. ORIGINAL AR3a WOOFER . THE WOOFER IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL . THIS IS A BACKUP WOOFER I HAVE HAD IN STORAGE . THERE IS A STAIN ON THE CONE SURFACE , BUT IS SUPERFICIAL . THERE IS ALSO A VERY SMALL REPAIR ON THE FOAM SURROUND . NEITHER OF THESE AFFECT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE WOOFER . ALSO FITS AR10Pi , AR11 AR3 AND OTHERS . BECAUSE OF THESE SMALL ISSUES I AM LISTING IT FOR PARTS OR REPAIR .

This is one of the midranges I’m selling from a pair of AR3a Improved speakers. According to what I’ve read, the drivers are the same in the AR3a Improved speakers as in the regular AR3a speakers. The improvement is in the crossovers. To my ears, both this midrange and the other I’m selling sound great, and are equal in sound and volume. Both also seem to be factory replacements. One was perfect, the other had part of the wire screen dented partly in when I bought the speakers. Even though it still seemed to sound fine I pulled that wire screen out so it was no longer pushing in the dome. I don’t remember which it is but I assume it’s the other because the foam on that ones dome is somewhat off-center. I made a video of both these midranges at the same time so no one could say one is bad and I demonstrated the good one twice. I started with the radio’s own speaker for comparison. I haven’t used the AR3a Improved speakers much since refoaming the woofers because I had gotten more into video, and was using a subwoofer and smaller home theater speakers instead. I’m selling this midrange AS IS because it’s old and might not be quite perfect.
