VINTAGE 1970 ACOUSTIC RESEARCH AR FM STEREO RECEIVER AMPLIFIER MODEL W. UNIT IS IN GOOD WORKING / SOUNDING CONDITION. OF NOTE THOUGH IS THE VOLUME DIAL POT PRODUCES STATIC WHEN TURNING THE VOLUME KNOB, WHEN NOT TOUCHING IT IS FINE. IT MAY JUST NEED A GOOD CLEANING OR THE POT REPLACED. OTHER DIALS, SWITCHES FUNCTION AS THEY SHOULD. THE OTHER THING IS WHEN TUNING AND YOU GO BELOW THE 94 ON THE TUNER THE INDICATOR STARTS TO GET HUNG UP. YOU CAN SEE WHAT WE MEAN IN THE PICTURES OF THE CHANNEL TUNER WINDOW. IT MAY JUST BE A SIMPLE FIX INSIDE THE UNIT TO KEEP IT FROM HANGING UP. THE UNIT DOES HAVE SCUFFS, SCRATCHES, MARKS ON TOP AND SIDES. THE FRONT FACEPLATE HAS YELLOW COLOR TINTING TO IT. MOST LIKELY CAN BE POLISHED / CLEANED UP TO LOOK GOOD AGAIN. ON THE BACK BY THE FUSE HOLDER THE THIN METAL DECAL HAS PULLED UP AND CRINKLED A LITTLE. UNIT WOULD BENEFIT A LOT FROM A GOOD THOROUGH CLEANING BEFORE USE.
