It came strongly recommended from Trevor Attewell of Hi-Fi News and others. He writes that the ‘ACE -bass’ is paired with a couple of small, but good, units to give you a super system in a minimum space. This has been my experience and it is heart wrenching selling it now. The cabinet is virtually unmarked and there has been little necessary maintenance since my original purchase. The amplifier, which is built in, is especially designed for the driver and makes the unit rather heavy. It has to be collected (north London). When, relatively recently, a couple of capacitors required replacing, I took the opportunity to have the speaker re- foamed by Wembley Loudspeakers at Shepherd Bush and it has continued to perform as if were new. It should give many years of pleasure. It is extremely simple to connect and set up and I will supply the original manual with it which has both general and additional technical information. In addition, I will supply a long lead with connecting plugs so that you have it up and working in no time.
