For sale is an Accustic Arts Reference Tube-DAC II SE. It is a beautiful DAC, both in regards to its build quality and design as well as its performance. The DAC originally commanded a retail price around the £8,500 mark. These rarely come up for sale and given the asking price represents an opportunity to acquire a truly high-end piece of Hi-fi at an astonishing price. Accustic Arts products are made in Germany and are renowned worldwide for the quality of their workmanship and design. The Tube-DAC has been in production now since 2007, yet despite some changes the core basic underpinnings have remained the same as evident from their latest offering. I purchased the DAC a few years ago, prior to which I owned a dCS Elgar and dCS Purcell D/D converter. Due to the inclusion of valves, I found the Tube-DAC II SE to have a richer and warmer presentation, which for me was inherently more beguiling and captivating.
