It sounds and looks great. I had this amp for decades and used it in many systems. I would say that outside of pure A class solid state amps it still rocks. It features a sophisticated design with six parallel push-pull transistors per channel and a MOS FET equivalent for the front stage. The amplifier employs Accuphases original DC servo system to stabilize DC drift and prevent speaker damage. It also includes a subsonic filter and a logarithmic compression pointer meter for reading dB and output watts. The P-500 can be used as a monaural power amplifier with a bridge connection switch.
