This ALTEC 803A, 802D, 811B, N-800-E, Complete Cabinet Speaker Configuration has been tested and sounds wonderful. The horn was painted an olive drab muting color for it to blend better into the physical environment in which it was incorporated. We checked on a small spot and found the paint will remove without too much difficulty. these were removed from a custom built (part of the house) here in Southern California (Rancho Palos Verdes Estates) overlooking the harbor of San Pedro, Long Beach. These were purchased by the original homeowner and incorporated by the builder in the 1960s. Yes, indoors kept (living room) here in Southern California where the mild climate and moderate seasonal fluctuation tends to be more forgiving to vintage audio equipment compared to other, more weather-volatile regions of the United States. We are going to try and sell this as a set but will entertain selling items individually if the auction bears no fruit and/or if the offers are reasonable. PIECE-MEAL:We will consider breaking up this set and selling the items one at a time, if the offer is fair. It will require us to re-shoot and re-list if we break up the set so please only make serious offers.
