Here is the way to buy vacuum tubes cheaply (generic tube type shown in picture). My goal is to sell you good vacuum tubes at a very low price. I have revised my shipping policies for multiple items ordered together to make the final price even lower for you than earlier (see below). Here is my method: You are purchasing a lot of two tubes of the same type; tubes are all vintage in boxes (box may have been repaired).The box may or may not be original to the tube. Some of the tubes are used and some are new. The tube type you are buying is the type in the item TITLE, not the tube in the picture. The picture of the tube testers is not part of the auction. The tubes you will receive are not pictured with this listing...the tubes pictured are just a generic tube picture. All tubes will be checked as good on an emission type tube tester. Any tube testing borderline will not be sold. All tubes will be identifiable by their markings (you may have to look closely). The two tubes are not being sold as a matched pair; I am unable to honor requests to match tubes. I am unable to honor requests for specific manufacturers or to match tubes for manufacturer. Shipping is a $4 flat rate for the first item (2 tubes) to any address in the USA including Hawaii and Alaska. Shipping cost to USA addresses for additional items ordered at the same time will now be only $1 more per additional item (of two tubes) shipped at the same time. For example, ordering 3 items (6 tubes total) would cost the buyer $6 (4+1+1) in shipping charges to a USA address. In order to get the combined shipping discount, you must Request Total before making the purchase; for this type of item, eBay cannot make it happen automatically. You will be getting a good deal. International sales: shipping rates will be higher. Tubes will be shipped in their boxes in a small padded envelope marked FRAGILE, not a shipping box. Large orders are boxed. I reserve the ability to substitute an identical tube type depending on availability (for example, a 6AU6A for a 6AU6, or vice-versa). However, I will NOT substitute a substitute tube type of a different number (such as a 7025 for a 12AX7 or vice-versa), nor will I substitute a change in style or size (such as a 5Y3GT for a 5Y3G, or a metal tube for a glass tube, or vice-versa) unless specifically OKd by the buyer in advance. There are many other tube types available in stock other than those listed, even some unusual or obsolete types. Buyers are invited to submit a list of tube types they are interested in and I will respond with availability and price. If agreed upon, then I would post the requested tube/s as a special listing for purchase by that buyer only. Such a transaction would be done only through eBay; please do not request to purchase tubes outside of eBay. Please do not make offers. Returns on vacuum tubes cannot be offered, because unscrupulous buyers will return their burned out tube and ask for a refund, then they wind up with a free good tube. Unfortunately, some people will do this. I ask that you trust that I am testing the tubes and that I ship only working tubes, tubes that I would use myself. I want you to be happy. I am an Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator. Those experienced with vintage electronics know that different individual tubes of the same type that test fine on a tube tester may behave differently in the same circuit. Item is one unmatched lot of Assorted Brands 6S4A vacuum tubes. These tubes are used and have dust, shadowing or label discoloration that appear with extended use. However, they are clean and test strongly and will perform well for a long time. These tubes and have been tested and are good. All tested tubes are at least GOOD on my Superior Instrument tube tester (most 7, 8 or 9 pin tubes) or meet the minimum strength on my U-Test-Em drug store tester (most other tubes). If a tube is labelled as untested, it is because I do not have the necesssary equipment to test it. All tubes that dont meet your expectations can be returned regardless of their test status. Sets of vacuum tubes labelled as pairs, quartets, sets, etc, came to me grouped together or labelled as such. My tube testers are not sophisticated enough to guarantee that all sets of tubes are fully matched correctly. Again, if you are unsatisfied with the tubes you receive, you can send them back for a refund. --> All items are inspected to ensure that they ship in working order ready to use. Any damage or wear outside of that which comes from normal usage is noted above in the description.
