I only used this amp for a couple months, so it is in excellent condition. I replaced it with an amp that costs 3 times as much, but I can barely tell a difference if at all. This thing rocks! It does come with the original box and RCA cable, although they are not currently pictured in the listing.

Im the original owner of the iFi Zen Dac v2 ($199 retail). Additionally up for auction: Im the original owner of the balanced 4.4mm to XLR braided cable ($99 retail). NOTE: this cable is for connecting the 4.4mm pre-out to the input of a balanced XLR external amp -- it is not a cable for your headphones! (The amp feature of this unit is a nice convenience feature, but its best performance is as a standalone DAC in tandem with a headphone or speaker amp.) I use this cable to run to my JBL studio monitor speakers (the volume knob allows me to control volume to the speakers), while the RCA out goes to my headphone amp. A nice budget desktop set-up! Also, if you eventually go up the iFi line to their more expensive DACs, this cable will work with all of them. Only downside here is that I lost the box during a recent move. This Steve Deckert designed push-pull integrated amplifier uses 25 watts of handmade glory with either EL34 or KT88 output tubes. I always lean to the EL34s. So, get off the wait list and get listening to a beautiful piece of work. For a nominal fee you can ship it to Steve and he will do a checkup, upgrade if you wish, and renew the lifetime warranty. I always wanted to own and listen to one of these amps so I bought this one used not knowing anything about the life of the tubes so I bought a new set, installed them and listened to the amp for about 5 hours. I streamed some hi-res Grateful Dead and Brecker Brothers Jazz through the amp to a great pair of Klipsch Chorus ll speakers. There is something to be said about tubes and Klipsch. The sound is outstanding. However, I am going to move up the tube amp line so this is available. You wont need to get on the 2 year waiting list for a new amp. You can own this one with a brand new set of tubes (5 hours of use). Just plug and play. There is a lot of opportunity for tube rolling as the 6922 input tubes and KT88/EL34 output tubes are and were manufactured by more than a few companies in different countries. There are many to choose from. You can customize the sound to your ear using a variety of new and NOS (new old stock) tubes. What I have here is a slightly used iFIZen Air Dac. Used to drive my HD660s headphones. Enjoyed the the extra bass this provided and really made me appreciate a lot of my headphones in a different way. Over time I’ve collected many amp/dacs and can say this one did impress me the most with how well they elevated the sound signature of headphones I felt were not doing it for me. After using this, I realize how important a good amp/dac can benefit you. Reason for selling is that I have so much audio gear and I never use them. I want this device to make it to someone who could use it and enjoy it for what it is. I also just sold the zen signature set and can compare the two. The Zen air dac did better for my headphones than the signatures did. For the less than a quarter of the price. Yes, the signature combo was louder. But that’s not the only thing I was looking for. The Zen Air will make you realize that expensive gear isn’t always better! What you will get is all original cables, packaging, literature and device!
