Had serviced two years ago, but two lights have since burnt out. Sounded great when I used it, but I switched to a smaller system. Sold as is. Rare Hi Fi Gem from Yamaha’s heyday. The C-4 preamplifiers characterized by the use of high quality components. The properties are responsible for the Yamaha Natural Sound at its time and until today. The phono section was already at that time a selling reason. Two MM and one MC input with variable sensitivity / impedance matching standard until today. The tone control with transition selection offers plenty of options for sound adjustment. 2 amp outputs make it a universal preamplifier.

Yamaha C-4 Control amplifier/Preamp. Nice example of this amazing unit. It has been thoroughly gone through. New LEDs have been installed in the correct color but power looks a little red in pics. It is the correct orange. Several solder joints were reflowed and a damaged circuit board was repaired. All controls have been cleaned and all functions tested and work as they should. The top cover has been repainted but is not perfect. I have the original that has some pretty decent scratches on it if youd prefer the original cover. I can send a pic and swap it if the buyer prefers. I also have an M-2 in mid restoration that will be available soon. C-4/M-2 is an amazing combination! I Lower 48 only please.

Der Vorverstärker befindet sich in einem guten Zustand mit normalen Gebrauchsspuren. Das Gerät wurde vor ca. 2 Jahren technisch überholt. Alle Elkos wurden gegen Nichicon Fine Gold und Muse Kondensatoren getauscht und die Platinen wurden nachgelötet und gereinigt. Neue Lampen wurden ebenfalls verbaut. Die C-4 ist also technisch fit und sollte das auch noch lange Zeit bleiben. Es handelt sich um einen Privatverkauf, keine Rücknahme oder Gewährleistung.

Yamaha C-4 Control Amp/Preamp. Beautiful example of this amazing unit. One of the best Yamaha ever made. This is one of the cleanest Ive seen inside and out. I reflowed a couple of the problematic solder joints these are known for and verified security of the two heat sinked transistors that break loose and cause a cracked board. All controls were cleaned and tested. All functions were tested and all work perfectly. Bulbs were replaced with LEDs. Colors are correct. Power button looks a little red in pic but it is the correct orange. I believe this to be a low mileage unit and it had definitely never been opened up before. It will be packaged to survive an air drop. Lower 48 only please.
