Previously on shelf display, never had a cartridge fitted and was not used for any demonstrations. Has been unboxed and fully tested. Pristine, and everything working as it should be. As far as I know, this item has never been registered for warranty. I cannot guarantee that Roksan would accept it after this period of time but its worth a try. These early decks are renowned for their warm fluid sound. It is s/n 26393 – and has 22-Feb-1978 date-stamped on the inside of the plinth. Everything works. It has the original red button power supply and a spot-welded sub-chassis with a gold colored bearing body. The motor is very quiet , smooth and gives a correct and stable speed. The plinth is a “Greaves Fluted” type in the now unobtainable Afromosia wood and is in excellent condition with no obvious marks or dents. It still has the original makers s/n label on the back. It has correctly functioning sprung hinges and the transparent lid is in excellent undamaged condition. It has a rare and sought after Hadcock GH228 uni-pivot tonearm which is in excellent , complete and working condition. It’s fitted with an Ortofon VMS20E Cartridge/Stylus and even has an additional extra-heavy counterweight and an additional brand new, boxed replacement stylus. This tone-arm is original continuous wired type and is in excellent shape. Admittedly it’s very tricky to set up correctly but sounds fantastic when it’s all properly balanced and aligned. The deck has enjoyed continuous ownership from new, up to 2022. Recently I have replaced the suspension springs and grommets as the original ones were beginning to sag. I also had a new drive belt fitted as again, the original one was becoming brittle. It’s been fully thoroughly cleaned and serviced. I had considered further upgrades but decided it’s better left alone as it sounds fantastic and there aren’t many of these original specification red button decks left now as most were personalized or upgraded. This is a very delicate and sensitive deck so its listed for collection only ..... no returns accepted once it leaves my care.

For sale is my 12” VPI Unipivot Fatboy Armwand. I bought it new in September 2021 and used it regularly since then on my Classic 4 with either a Benz Micro LPS or a Lyra Parnassus Dct. The arm is in excellent condition and comes with a larger arm rest post and dual-pivot attachment. The arm is much easier to adjust the counterweight than the previous VPI arms. It also looks and sounds much better than both the 3D arm and the metal arm. I’ve been very pleased with this arm but am selling it because I have traded in my Classic 4 for an SME turntable and no longer need it. VPI did not include any documentation on the arm, but I was able to figure out how to make most of the adjustments using a gimbaled arm manual from their website and having had 20+ years of experience with their uni-pivot arms. Michell Reference Hydraulic Transcription Turntable, Rare Focus Tonearm. Updates below as checked manual for info re parts, and turntable plugged in and powers up This was purchased approx 10 years ago from the original first owner It’s a Michell Reference Hydraulic Turntable with Focus Tonearm At the time Michell offered a custom upgrade and this has the non standard platter, there is an identical turntable on ebay at the moment, £1300 Previous owner had it working perfectly however years later and a few home moves it remained unused by me stored in a box, a family member had a look and discovered A; the belt has gone missing so will need replacing B, the metal fluid well that sits underneath the platter (holding the oil I think) previously had the focus platter mounting spindle glued together, see pics 9 and 10, and last two pics, this has now snapped off, so this section will need replacing C, the tonearm was also taken apart and there was a part not put back properly so have a single loose counterweight and ball bearing, so arm is loose Due to the above it’s sold as spares or repairs. The turntable powers up see last pic but unable to play a disc due to platter mounting spindle not attached as mentioned so no idea of mechanical side of things, but all parts appear present Condition wise it’s lovely, be hard to find another this clean, black base is still glossy and unmarked, the lid is also very clean with the usual glue bubbling along the seams and only a couple of light scratches on one side Chrome surround is also very clean as well, platter cloth again some glue remnants around the side Oh and the tonearm will need a cartridge Sad to see this go but this turntable is a little too complicated for me and will likely never get round to sorting There is no reserve, the tonearm on its own fetch a bit as are well liked Opportunity for someone who maybe owns a tatty one to purchase Or quite a straight forward project for anyone who knows their turntables I will not post the turntable, sorry but it’s too fragile, am based in West London If you want to arrange a courier I will place it in a box but it’s the buyer’s responsibility if damaged in transit, much prefer collection Also included is the turntable manual and Focus Unipivot Arm Manual both rare on CD Welcome to view item if local, no returns, happy to answer any questions best I can, described to the best of my limited knowledge, please use pics as a guide
