Thorens TD-124 Turntable acquired from the estate of an audiophile. Unit comes with arm board as shown. I gave this unit a quick test and although the motor spins the platter does not. When turned on I put my hand under the unit and felt the pulley turning but not the belt. It felt like the belt was stretched and slipping although I cant be 100% sure. Very possible since its over a half century old. When I put my ear to the plinth, I could faintly hear the motor. That is my Observation, I am not a turntable expert, and it surely could be something else causing this behavior. All switches and controls turn/move as they should. Cosmetically there are a few small spots of paint wear(around level & speed selection plate) but considering age and use its in better shape than most. Due to age, a long period of non-use, and the above-mentioned drive issue this turntable is offered for restoration and sold as is.
