Technics SL-1600 Direct Drive Turntable acquired from the family of the original owner. I gave this unit a thorough test and although it works it has some issues. There is No dust cover. My findings are: Unit works great in manual mode, it does not work in automatic(no auto return, places the tone arm in the wrong place, etc.) Small fork tone arm holder/lock is snapped off. Repeat and record size settings have no effect since the auto mode is erratic. The good stuff: Audio Technica cartridge/stylus sounds very good, speed is right on and stable with strobe for both 33 and 45 rpms, cuing and tone arm adjustments work, pitch controls vary the speed as designed. As previously stated, none of the auto functions work properly, but the unit works great in manual mode. Cosmetically a few small marks here and there but nothing objectionable or offensive. Although this turntable is usable in manual mode it is offered for repair/parts/restoration and sold as is. Please view the auction photos. What you see is Exactly what you get.
