Tandberg is a Norwegian company who have always kept up with manufacturing quality Hi-Fi equipment. This example is no exception. A portable field recorder for roaming reporters of the time. Their version of a Uher report 4000 etc. These tape recorders do crop up on eBay from time to time but mainly full track recording. This is a 2 track machine and is more practical having this format when playing 2 track recorded tapes. All works well, just a little sluggish on fast wind when coming to the end of the tape. Servo controlled capstan motor with 3 speed selection. Takes 5 inch reels with lid closed or 7 inch with lid open. A 5 reel of Tandberg/ 3M Scotch tape and take up reel supplied.
