Each is labeled for Motorola, have the same date codes 844 (1984) and Sylvania Philips EIC code 312 on them, and are still in original boxes! These are identical in both design and test results, perfectly matched at 100%/100% in mutual conductance and only about a 1% difference in current. STR-387 tubes were made by Sylvania Philips back in the 1970s and 80s to handle higher power amplifiers (STR = Special Tube Request made by Fender, Peavey and other amplifier mfrs for a heavy duty more powerful tube). These have heavier plates and wire heaters, and thicker glass than regular commercial tubes did.
