1981 Sony Walkman 1st Portable Stereo Cassette Tape Player Recorder TCS-300. It plays well but I can’t get it to rewind or fast forward. I guessing it’s a belt issue but I don’t know. Has all paperwork AC- Adapter and original plastic container.

Sony TCS-300 Stereo Cassette Recorder. The unit had not been used for years. It powers up when batteries are installed, you can hear the motors moving when you press play, etc. When powered up, it does sometimes play a tape, but it is very distorted and keeps stopping. Forward fast and Rewind you can hear motors but they do not drive the tape. Case is in good condition for its age. It runs on 4 AA batteries.This will need good service, belts, etc, by someone who knows what to do. This is sold as faulty for repair. It will be posted without batteries. I’ve listed as spares and repair as the forward and reverse don’t seem to work but when you put in batteries the music plays via the headphones but I don’t want to risk saying it’s fully working so sold as spares and repair only.
