Produced from 1999-2001, this Sony DVP-9000ES was used in a high end AV system until around the advent of Blu-Ray (2006) and then placed in storage. I just cleaned the outer case and checked for proper operation with both a CD and DVD. All lights and buttons function properly and there is perfect playback of both video and audio. I didn’t have an SACD or remote on hand to check the “Audio Direct” mode but have no reason to believe that it wouldn’t also function. These players are highly reviewed online, built like tanks and are particularly noted for their sonic capabilities. If you wish to explore SACDs, this would be a great choice. As far as condition goes, there are some blemishes and scrapes on the case, presumably from being integrated/removed from a rack mount system. I think these could be touched up with modeling paint with good effect. Fortunately, the all important front and rear panels are in outstanding condition and look very nice! Comes with interconnects and power cord. The remote was misplaced years ago but aftermarket replacements are available and the used originals occasionally come up for sale as well. Included in this listing is a Sony DVP-S9000es player. I’ve owned this for about 6 years. I’ve only used it as a cd player which works great! I have never tested is with sacd/dvd before. I hate to sell it but I’m downsizing. It comes with a power cord. It has some cosmetic dings and scuffs. All buttons and lifts work. I do not know if it’s fully functional thus it’s being sold for parts/repair. Please take a look at all of the pictures and ask any questions you have before buying or making an offer. This is a heavy unit.

I got this to use strictly for playing SACDs. It was way too difficult to figure out on how to hook up with vintage stereo receivers. I gave up trying as I am too old to play games with high tech newer equipment. I am strictly an old school vintage stereo guy. Beautiful condition! USA Lower 48 sales only!
