As a DVD player, its as good or better than many single-disc players that sold for $1000 or more a year ago. Add to that the fact that the CX850D is the only affordable DVD mega changer currently on the market (there is also a $5,000 DVD changer from Escient and a $15,000 DVD changer from Runco).This is a great DVD player, and its the only 200-disc DVD changer you can buy at an affordable price. The $799 street price is a terrific value for a player of this quality, even without the 200-disc changer. With the ability to serve as a 200-disc film library, its a steal -- and right now, its the only game in town. This doesn’t effect anything about the player. Also, this is not going to play heavily worn disc with scratches. The disc need to be fairly clean.
