In excellent preowned, working (with issues described below) condition, shows some light wear from use with one scratch on face plate above the play button, and a few other scuffs on speakers and the case of the unit, tuner function works, tape AUX function not tested, no remote, speaker wires not included Unit does work very well with the exception of the loading mechanism - the open and close functions usually work but not always correctly - when ejecting a CD it may take several attempts using the button and a tap on the top of the unit for it to eject, and it does not always eject all the way, but about 3/4 of the way, you can easily remove the disk and it will still accept a CD from that position, The close function usually work no problem, but occasionally needs a little tap for it to go down - unit reads CD and plays with no problem and sounds great. Will need some repair - maybe just a new belt for the motor Although mostly in working condition, it is being sold for parts or repair due to operating condition described above - returns will not be accepted

This is a sweet shelf system. I have tested out the radio and CD. The vertical loading CD is kind of wild. I almost kept this. I was able to set the time and tune the radio with the remote. The included remote is not the default one but has the same keys and I was able to navigate fine. There is a manual online. I will send you the link if you need it. A solid system.

A Premium Audio Experience with this MINTY Sony CMT-EX1!This CMT-EX1 has been cleaned and serviced. This is the fourth one of these Ive done, and it is by far the nicest Ive come across. It was almost mint! It just needed (very little) cleaning. For the first time, when renewing one of these units, I did NOT replace the synthetic band in the opening mechanism, which is the common failure point. See below.These units vertical load and play mechanisms look fantastic but are a common point of failure. This one has been disassembled, cleaned, and lubed. Most importantly, though, I did not need to replace the band connecting the motor to the drive gears of the loading assembly. The opening and closing action was so strong, and there was so little slack in the band that I simply cleaned and lubed the mechanism. I will still include a replacement band in the sale. (See pics.) It functions perfectly and is ready for a second lifetime of playing and displaying your CDs!Please refer to the photos for a detailed look at the item. They are pictures of the exact item you will receive. It looks, sounds, and performs beautifully. There is a .09mm hole in one of the speaker grills. Ive pointed it out in the pics.
