SONY SL-C7UB Betamax Video Recorder Beta - Excellent Condition - Replacement Heads Fitted - With Original Remote and Manual This has had the following work carried out:- - Head drum replaced and aligned - Unlacing and take-up belts replaced - Power supply capacitors and surge resistor replaced - Capacitors replaced in the drum and capstan servo circuit - Clock display rebuilt - Mechanism cleaned and re-lubricated - Tape path cleaned - Pinch roller rejuvenated to prevent tape creasing - Audio head azimuth adjusted for maximum output This item is in full working order. I have been testing this constantly for the past few days, playing back both fresh recordings and old tapes through the AV connection on the rear. Recording has not been tested as there is no analogue reception. It plays old recordings perfectly considering the age of the recordings and tapes, and it gives clear sound and picture which does not drop out. All mechanical functions work smoothly and quickly, and it will load and eject a tape, fast-forward, rewind, etc., with no problems or snags. A full L-750 tape will rewind from end to end in around four minutes without struggling. Cosmetically it is in excellent clean condition both inside and out, with just some general wear and tear marks consistent with age. Please inspect the photos carefully. The clock can be set accurately and has no missing segments. It comes with a phono/RCA lead so can be connected to modern equipment. The remote is also fully working. It will be well packaged for transit.
