Shure M97 x Cartridge Phono Low Starting bid. This is missing a mounting tab and I have no idea if it works. Was in a box with some other audio stuff purchase at an estate sale. Maybe a great candidate for modification or experimentation. Plenty of options on eBay for buying wood body for higher end cartridges. I Maybe it has no value but if somebody can use it I would like it to find its way there. Please see pictures and evaluate for yourself. Shure M97xE MM Turntable Cartridge Ships as shown. Includes 4 styli (or styluses if you prefer). Also included is an additional stylus with a damaged cantilever (oops - my fault). I just replaced my old Thorens turntable (that was fitted with this cartridge) with something newer. I no longer need this one, so time to move it along to a new home. Cartridge sounds excellent. I mainly played newer LPs on this cart and played older ones on my Dual that was fitted with a Shure M91ed (also for sale - see our eBay store by clicking the link below if youre looking for something different) Includes a few versions of the stylus as I liked to try different things from time to time. Purchased from LP Gear. One of them is a Vivid Line Contact Diamond upgrade that cost $157.00 alone. The one with the black shield is an entry level $45.00 stylus so it may be fun to take the Pepsi Challenge and swap them out to compare sonics. Except for the damaged one of course. Except for the one with the damaged cantilever, all sound fine as I prefer to change my styli sooner, rather than later - about every 6 to 9 months or so. The stylus on the cart has been $150.00 upgrade re-tipped by Groovetickler on Ebay. Big shout out to him. He really does excellent work so if you need a stylus re-tipped, be sure to check out his eBay store. He also can repair the one with the damaged cantilever if youre so inclined. Here is a lot of 4 used Shure N97XE Replacement Stylus. Made for the Shure cartridge M97XE. I bought these new over the years and used them only myself. I would replace them when I felt they were either getting old and I think one is kind of bent. So these arent pristine but their quality is likely varying. Some better some worse. Some might have to be for parts. Some dirt from use. These have been sitting around for a few years. With original boxes, little display cases and manuals. Boxes are kind of beat up and I wrote on 3 of them.

Shure M97xE cartridge with a NEW repro 0.2x0.7 stylus. Stylus is sharp, straight and true. Mounted and aligned on a NEW quality Nagaoka style aluminum style Japanese headshell with gold lead wires. Multimeter tested at 1402/1400 ohms a channel and tracks wonderfully at 1.25 grams. Keep in mind that this has a flip down stylus guard but no brush like the OEM Shure stylus.Sounds fantastic though and I really think the brush was something that got in the way. Completely plug and play on a properly balanced tonearm. You wont find one nicer ready to go at this price. Headshell stand not included. FREE shipping to the lower 48 United States only.
