For sale is a Von Schweikert Research LCR 31 center channel in good cosmetic condition. This is a very impressive center channel with a vocal presence that allows you to make both dialogue and vocals stand out to become front and center. Cosmetically there are some defects that have been shown in the photos, such as splotches on the fabric and scratches on the wooden side panels. Although there are some visible marks on this piece it is still in good condition overall and fully functional. Originally this center channel came in a VSR virtual reality theater system. For this kind of quality at this price, Von Schweikert Research is an excellent brand to go with and will certainly leave you satisfied and enjoying every minute of your favorite movies, TV shows, and music. The center is able to cover a wide area without a noticeable change in sound. I disconnected all of the channels except the center and played both music and movies. I stood up and sat down, then moved around the room to see if I could find a NULL spot or a drastic change in sound. I was impressed to see that I could walk around and enjoy the LCR-31s sweet music from anywhere in my listening room.On the side of the LCR is a Vocal Presence Control knob. This allows you to adjust the timbre of the speaker to match other brands of speakers. I only used the LCR with the VR4s, but on some material where I found the LCR to be a little chesty, a slight turn of the knob eliminated this.I have experienced one of the finest sounding home theater and music speaker systems on the planet. The end result is a combination of the source, processor, amplification, and speakers. I've had these speakers since 2004. A new puppy makes me sell them for parts. Even though they do work, they need new tweeters, and as you can see the puppy did her number on the sub ports, but just need new foam. This is a great steal for someone who is savvy and can repair. Local pick up only.
