There is a Manual that will be included with it. Its in beautiful condition with minimal blemishes. Some blemishes are to be expected. This vintage Sansui QS-500 4-channel rear amplifier is a highly sought after piece of equipment for audiophiles and collectors alike. Great sounding 1970s Sansui 4 channel rear amplifier, tested working, and sounding great. Comes with the original factory solid wood case, plus original owners manual, and original schematic diagram. All functions are working perfectly, all push buttons working, slide lever working, all knobs working, all four view meters are working, all front panel lights are working except for the light for the far right view meters. The case is in great condition with just a few minor nicks, and one or two light scratchs on side bottom, and one noticeable scratch top center, but nothing a good refinishing stain couldnt take care of, other than that your good to go. This is a one owner amp that was pulled from a smoke free environment. FOR USE IN THE UK A 240v to 100v (NOT 120/110v) down-step transformer is needed.While quadraphonic encoders have not seen many changes in their designs over the years, the decoders have evolved rapidly since the first designs were introduced back in the early 70s. The Sansui QSD-1 quadraphonic decoder is the only decoder that utilizes an active crossover - processing the Low, Mid, and High Frequencies on 3 separate modules - resulting in superb, best analog QS separation. Hence, the Sansui QSD-1 is considered the best QS decoder and was an integral part of many recording and broadcasting studios back in the 70s.I was behind the first Quadraphonic audiophile listening event at Cafe Oto London in January 2020. Here are my observations:Unit tested to power on only.Meters 2-4 lights are out.When initially powered on all 4 vu needles simultaneously lift off the peg and then return to peg.Case in very good condition.Since I am unable to fully test unit is sold as is for parts / repair.
