Pioneer CT-F4040 tape deck from 1977 in excellent condition and working order. The sound quality is crystal clear and the speed is very stable while playing. Came from a recent estate sale and was dry stored in the house. We have deep cleaned the exterior, the front face is excellent and in mark free condition. The clear Perspex tape door opens at a touch of the button and again is in excellent condition. We have cleaned the tape heads and does sound really good. The Dolby NR operates as it should as does the 3 tape type settings. Bench tested for 3 days with a variety of tapes and did not miss a beat. The only minor points are; the RW is very weak, FF is fine one VU meter needs a new bulbthe case has paint loss and corrosion. In conclusion a great example of this tape deck, will need a bulb and some belts in the future, very usable in the meanwhile.
