Realistic STA-2000 Receiver Vintage HiFi Stereo Audiophile Phono 2 Channel Japan Device is fully working. All channels, switches, and functions tested. Has some wear on the wood. Lights arent very bright in the unit but are all working.

Yamaha CX2000 preamp (with DAC, phono stage), fully overhauled. I bought this from Japan using Buyee. Note that it is 100V as it was made for the Japanese market only. You will need a suitable transformer (I use one from Airlink). I had it shipped directly to a Yamaha expert to be overhauled. He did the following: 1. Replaced all the electrolytic capacitors with new Nichicon (audio grade where needed). Used film caps where possible (video board included). 2. Repaired cracked solder connections on most of the TO-220 transistors. RCA jacks had a few iffy solder connections as well (repaired). 3. Volume control knob had a broken grubscrew. Was able to extract the broken screw and replace it with a new setscrew (without damaging the knob). 4. Cleaned controls with Deoxit (triple cleaning of loudness control). The bill for new caps (etc) was over $200, and I understand from an email he sent that over 190 caps were replaced. I also had someone strip and veneer the side panels in pimento pepperwood burl. Note that there are some marks on these: see photos. There are also two minor scratches to the top plate near the front of the preamp (see photo). I am selling this as I have quit the vintage amplification phase Ive been going through in recent years. There is no real need to keep this CX2000 now, as I already have an excellent modern preamp (Octave HP 700SE).
