This unit is of course used but in great condition with some very minor floors on the top surface as shown in the pictures. First of all, an acoustic design bandpass was used: internal volume of the body is divided into two compartments by a partition, where a 255mm driver is fixed; the bigger one among the compartments, on which the speaker rests against by a rear side of the diffusor, connects with external world through three cylindrical channels - bass-reflex ports. The advantage of such scheme is in the ability to get a high response in narrow frequency band, but for this you often have to pay by the increase of duration of step response that, in turn, causes the effect of coloring. Another highlight is a digital amplifier, which uses pulse-width modulation of signal and allows you to combine compactness and bigger electric power. In addition to standard controls, there are a smooth change of phase (in the range 0°-180°) and signal filtration for satellites. You can even put up with excessive sizes for such magnificence. It is difficult to control emotions at the description of PS-1000 in the theatre complex. The walls of our listening room havent shake for so long under the impression of explosions, shots and tectonic disasters. The sub royally presented clots and streams of low-frequency energy to the listener. The lightness admires you most of all, with which the system juggles by blocks of deep bass giving very natural picture of displayed sound event: shock takes you when a seismic wave of distant explosion comes on, when powerful helicopter blades milled denser air (The runner, The fight). A typical scene of unbridled battle in city center showed some kind of systems selectivity in the presentation of low-frequency content of shots: single shots from pump-action shotgun sound very realistic; string of burst from M-16 is slightly smoothed. However, showiness of performance, significantly enhanced by the presence of PS-1000, shoulders the viewer deep into action and hearing can easily forgive a slight tightening of the pulsed sounds. If you combine the sub with mature in low-frequency sense floor pair, its abilities of customization allow you to reach deep, soft, natural bass base in cinema and music. Power reserve is more than enough.

Unfortunately, it developed a bit of a rattle in the speaker like something has blown, so has been sat for a few years gathering dust. I researched and found that you cannot remove the speaker screen without damaging the unit, which is why I am unable to provide a pic of the actual speaker. I tested it on my home stereo system and the bass sound was rich and full; there was NO rattling that would indicate speaker damage.

The Paradigm Seismic 110 is an amazing subwoofer. Im not sure anything hits harder for its size, except maybe the old Sunfire Super Jr. You can do your own research on the Seismic. The plate amp puts out 850 watts continuous and up to 1700 watts peak. It also retailed for $1900 when new. Amazingly its actually made Canada, not China. It takes both RCA and XLR inputs. Cosmetically the subwoofer is in great shape. I saw one or two minor scratches, but thats it. The amp functions perfectly and hits hard. All the tone and phase controls work normally without a hint of static. Testing: I hit this sub hard. I turned it up to max output at the opening of Blade Runner 2049. This is far higher than you would ever normally listen. I have heard some people had problems with the dust cap surround coming loose. I did not notice anything like that. The surround is quiet and should have been rattling like a can of marbles as hard as I was pushing it. Important caveat: the feet squeaked like crazy on my laminate floors. At first I thought there was something wrong with the sub, but as long as I hold the feet down, its silent. Frankly these feet are cheap plastic crap--completely unbecoming of a $1900 subwoofer. This wont be a problem if you have carpet, but if you have wood or tile floors, you NEED to upgrade the feet. SVS makes some nice decoupling pucks for only $50 and theyre utterly silent on my SVS sub. As I said, I hit this sub FAR harder than I would ever do for any movie, so at normal volumes the feet might not be that bad, but still do the upgrade! Includes original power cord and box. This is a Paradigm Subwoofer that originally came as part of the Cinema 70 Home theater set. I already had a larger sub so I used that instead and this one was used on my computer sound system. It was disconnected awhile ago when I moved and has been in a box since. Sub has had very little use. Following is a review with specs on the subwoofer from CNET.
