Bought this new off eBay circa 2005 from a dealer in Texas. Had some money, newer home, just finishing the basement. Paired it with an Onkyo DV-SP1000 and a fancy Sonance speaker system that had its own subwoofer amp and two subwoofer speakers in a 7 cabinet that I had built into the wall. System was powerful. Fast-forward to today. Took the speakers and AV equipment in the divorce. Tried to make the receiver work but at one point the dog got to the remote and I was tired of dealing with HDMI-1 and digital cables for audio. I think it all happened when the plasma monitor I had spontaneously fried itself as we say down to dinner. The replacement TV had HDMI and RCA and the receiver became a pain in the ass. Bought a newer Onkyo to replace this (see sellers other items) but had a bad experience so I went with Kenwood. This receiver was working flawlessly when replaced. Its sat since forever because its hard to give away something that cost so much so long ago. Throwing that plasma TV in the electronics recycling bin my city sponsors was one of my biggest regrets, kind of like that marriage. This item weighs nearly 100#. Ill pack it carefully.
