This is an excellent example of a very well reviewed CD player. As can be seen from the photos it is in amazing condition and is one to be proud of. I have stripped the mechanism to clean all three micro switches, lubricated all sliding parts with silicone grease and fitted a brand new laser. It’s been thoroughly cleaned and treated to a deoxit to ensure a great electrical connection. You may see other examples of this CD player here on eBay that have not had these parts changed. They may go on for years, however, you may be in for a bill from a repair shop sometime soon. In addition, there are three capacitors which are prone to failure on these machines and they had failed on this machine as well. They have been been replaced with new, higher rated, Panasonic FC caps. It may look smart in the rack but it sounds fantastic, in fact, just as good as it did when it left the factory; for a digital source it has a lovely full sound with sweet treble and powerful, defined bass. This outperforms plenty of recognised brand machines costing many times the price. See the What Hi-Fi review below. NAD makes a remote control for these CD players, however, I do not have one for this machine I will pack it in a strong carton with bubblewrap and polystyrene corners then ship it via Parcelforce 48 to a UK house address. No supermarkets drop offs please, as I dont wish to risk damage by rough handling. Neither will I use any eBay shipping services, including the International Programme as the insurance is worthless.
