Description
Selling my beloved Purity speakers from Martin Logan. I am the original owner and purchased these about 20 or so years ago. They have been in a smoke-free and pet-free environment the entire time. I recently upgraded to the Masterpiece Series 13A, also from Martin Logan thus the reason for the sale. I recently replaced an amp board on one of the speakers as the sound output didnt come out evenly from both speakers. They are now and sound just like the day I received them. These speakers are in beautiful condition, as seen in the included photos. I still have the original boxes, but due to sizes and shipping costs, I will only consider local pickup. Last but not least, I am also listing these same speakers on local craigslist so if theyre sold there, I will remove this listing. The notes below are directly from the manufacturer, included for your information: Martin Logan Purity Speakers. These speakers are legendary, as they represent the first self-powered speaker produced by Martin Logan. Martin Logan later began using internal amplification in many of their top of the line speakers, and introduced power forced technology and DSP as well. In the Purity, a built-in 200W amp powers both the two 6.5 woofers and the electrostat panel using a single RCA jack. All that is needed is a signal from a AV Processor or Prepro. However, the speakers can also be driven with an external stereo amplifier using L + R banana plugs. The internal amp then switches off amplification to the panel, and allows the external stereo amp to drive the panel. The speakers also have an additional bluetooth jack, so any source can be plugged into either speaker for direct listening. If youve never heard electrostats before, the soundstage is phenomenal for all types of music, and the two 6.5 in speakers deliver solid lower midrange and upper bass, however, at 43 hz to 23,000 hz you will definitely need a sub. But the speakers are powerful in their own right and deliver a robust listening experience. Thank you all for looking!
