TL;DR: the equalizer DOES NOT have a display. Selling as is. This equalizer arrived to my bench with no VFD. After further inspection I noticed that the VFD glass was cracked and had vented, however, I proceeded with an electronic restoration of the unit. All OPAMPs from the audio signal path were replaced with high-quality LM4562 ICs, the power supply regulators were swapped by new ones and the electrolytics were replaced. All controls and dials were thoroughly cleaned and the equalizer brought back to a full working order. I have been waiting for several months to find a replacement for the VFD, however, I have not had any luck. Due to an upcoming move I cannot keep the equalizer anymore. Please note that sonically, this EQ551 is working. The only missing part is the VFD, which is extremely sad to me since this is one of the most appealing parts of this equalizer. Due to its condition I cannot accept any returns and it is solod as PARTS only. Please study the attached pictures and contact me if you have any questions. Amazing condition for its age, it almost looks like its come out straight out of an 80s high street Hi-Fi shop. Everything works and lights as it should, sounds great too as youd expect from a Marantz product.
