Luxman M900U Power Amplifier. I have owned this from brand new, bought in 2018 from Fanthorpes HiFi. It’s been used with many different speakers and put up against many other amps. I have also listened the latest iteration of this amp and it’s the same spec and I can’t hear any difference. Dealer agreed. I would say that it’s the best class A amp for the money. Value is very important to me and I auditioned a lot of amps before I went for the Luxman. It just offers value in the high end world and is a properly engineered implementation from a proper manufacturer. The sound is big and smooth. It’s not over sweetened but it’s not “neutral “ in my opinion. I’d best describe it as simply class a done well. These amps are like combustion engines and I wonder how long companies like Luxman, Pass Labs and Gryphon will keep making these but fortunately right now they still hold a big place in audio so people still love them. These amps are very rarely available used as any Luxman fan knows. I’m selling because I have 2 and really only need 1. The sound of 2 vrs 1 doesn’t really justify the cost, although it’s been fun. Condition in excellent, a few marks I have showed in the photos. Two tiny marks on the front are there if you look hard, but we are talking tiny! Most would point them out but I’m fussy and honest! This amp is a BEAST so it’s pick up only I’m afraid. I’m not taking chances when something is this heavy! 55kg. The double boxing is excellent but I’m still wary of clumsy handling. It’s too special and in too good condition to get damaged It’s less than half the current price, so for an amp like this that’s more than fair given the amount of people that expect way more at the moment for used high end stuff. I looked after it and it’s not a demo unit or been passed around. All the original packaging etc as the photos show. Questions welcome.
