Mark Levinson No.28 Preamp And Matching PLS-228 Power Supply. Excellent preamp including power supply. 2 sets of CAMAC/RCA connections. However I use XLR cables for pre to power, Pre to DAC. XLR CD transport to DAC and SPDIF to DAC. Then RCA / CAMAC to Phono stage from Turntable. This covers all bases for me. It's an incredible amp a few years old now but competes with some of the best at it's level and above . I replaced this with tube amplification . Below is a review for your consideration. Local pick up only. major sonic improvements over the No.331, the more powerful No.334 turned out to be far superior in bass slam, dynamics, and definition. It accurately conveyed instrumental timbre, provided resolution of fine musical detail, and created a lush, opulent, billowing soundstage (footnote 4). Its bass response is the best I have heard from a Mark Levinson stereo amplifier. It will be a sad day here when the No.334 amplifiers leave. Unabashedly expensive at $5990, the No.334 proved its worth in coaxing the very best performance from different loudspeakers in my listening room. My enthusiasm was not diminished when a single No.334 ran out of steam playing percussion music on a pair of Revel Salons. For large loudspeakers in demanding listening rooms like mine, one could purchase two No.334 amplifiers for biamplification, or choose the more powerful, 350Wpc No.336. But for most music, a single No.334 in stereo had more than enough bass slam. The No.334s higher power rating, increased ability to render dynamic musical contrasts, and outstanding build quality have earned it a strong Class A rating from me. The right channel worked great and produced wonderful and full music. The left channel did not make any sound. Nothing. I removed the cover and looked inside circuitry. It looked OK to me but I only have VERY basic knowledge in electronics. See posted pictures of the inside. I did touch the heat sink and found the right channel was warm but the left channel was basically cold. I used my multimeter and took voltages at several random spots. Both right and left shows some readings. So, the left channel did get power but just not working properly. Thats my assessment. The left channel obviously needs repair. My low asking price reflects the condition this amplifier is in. Physical condition is good, of course far from being pristine. There are wear, scratches, etc. This sale includes the amplifier only, as shown in the pictures. Nothing else is included. Ill ship worldwide. Local cash and carry is great.
