No outer cover and a slight dent in the middle of the cone of the right speaker but no rips or tears and sounds great, surprising depth and sound stage from bookshelf speakers. Other then having a bit of dust here of there from sitting on the shelf a couple years(and the dent) they are in good condition. Thank you for your time and have a great day!
