You are buying the classic JVC bookshelf system that you see. VERY clean overall! No speaker wire included, sorry, but luckily its pretty cheap and you dont need much of it if you keep the speakers close. The unit is FULLY operational and the speakers sound good, but there is one SMALL issue: the CD door needs some help to open up. One of the gears might be stripped inside or something, but it DOES easily lift up when you hit the open…but closes with motor without a problem. I have stuck a little tab on the door to easily pull it up when you need to open it up. Ships incredibly carefully and quickly! No remote, sorry. You can find them on eBay. mtl
