JBL Transducer Lancer 66 Apollo Olympus magazine ad. From the August 1963 issue of Audio Magazine. It is an original, it is not a copy. In good condition. For the year 1963, this magazine opted to make their pages larger than any other year. They would not be able to fit in the larger standard manila envelope used for shipping so we have carefully trimmed each edge. Safely packed, we do include a stiff cardboard insert, the insert and ad wrapped with saran wrap and a Please Do Not Bend sticker on the envelope to help preserve the integrity of the ad.

A pair of original wooden fretwork grills from a pair of JBL/James B. Lansing Lancer 77 speakers, circa 1967-1972. The mitred frames are sound with minimal marking (everything of note has been photographed), while the fretwork is pretty much immaculate which is remarkable given their age. Exact dimensions are 560mm x 320mm (22 x 12 5/8), with a depth including mounting batten of 25mm (1). Mounting is via two central holes on the batten that fits on split steel posts on the speaker baffle, velcro could be used. The rear grille cloth is taut, with no tears. These really are very rare, the JBL catalogues of the time that I can find describe wooden fretwork options on the larger Lancer 99, but not the 77. I can find no other examples for sale on or off speakers available anywhere. They will be very carefully packed for shipping, international sales will be via the global shipping programme, with no exceptions. Other components from the Lancers will be listed soon.
