iFi Audio DC iPurifier 2. The DC iPurifier 2 Active Noise Filter from iFi Audio has been designed to reduce interference that can be found in HiFi systems which is most commonly caused by noisy power supplies. This DC iPurifier2 is fitted with improved features such as the Active Noise Cancellation II. Normal Switch Mode Power Supplies are quite noisy and have not been designed for audio use. The DC iPurifier 2 tackles the noise issue to ensure that audio signal is clear and without interference. The DC iPurifier2 employs iFi Audio’s Active Noise Cancelation 2 (ANC II) technology to remove the low and mid-frequency noise, which results in reducing the noise floor by >40dB (>100x). ANC II technology comes from the Thales Spectra military radar defense technology used in jet fighters, the ANC is a similar process to active noise-cancelling headphones by generating a signal identical to that of the incoming electrical noise but out of phase. The DC iPurifier 2 can handle five volts right through to 24 volts and comes with different types of DC barrel connectors to be flexible in connecting. This device works with 5.5 x 2.1mm but also includes adapters for 5.5 × 2.5mm and 3.5 × 1.35mm jack inputs. By employing complex components it allows the iPurifier 2 to be very efficient at reducing the noise. Some of these key components include a copper-alloy EMI shielding to block frequency electromagnetic radiation, an ultra-wide bandwidth design, Vishay MELF resistors for optimal power, Panasonic SP-Cap polymer aluminium capacitors and custom op-amps. The iFi Audio DC iPurifier 2 can be used with many devices from a DAC to a mixing desk, laptop or a even a DAW and will reduce any unnecessary noise. The DC iPurifier 2 gives you safety to all your devices with an in built reverse polarity warning system. iFi iPurifier3 - USB Type-B. If you are looking at this, you know what it is. I added the Denafrips Iris DDC to my system and no longer need this. Works fine, no scratches or signs of any abuse, a 9/10.

Here is an IFI Spdif iPurifier. The power supply with UK adapter (note there is no Euro type adapter) and all of the attachments are included (as shown in the picture). IFI say that The SPDIF iPurifier has been designed to improve your audio signal, using galvanic isolation and that it works with phono and Toslink spdif cables. In my experience it did make a difference, in my system, when I used it with phono Spdif and you MAY find that a linear power supply (NOT INCLUDED) will make a further improvement. IFI say that this will eliminate noise in any SPDIF connection and give it more clarity, detail, and improve the sound stage. The small paper indicates that the power supply as supplied has a MUCH lower audio band noise than typical power supplies. Only items shown in the photos are included which I believe are the complete original items. I will only post to UK mainland.
