Sony Betamax SL-HF100 UB video cassette recorder player. Powers up and loads a tape correctly fast forward and rewind works well and play operates correctly so does pause and peep search, also eject works correctly, sound output works nice especially HI/FI stereo. This machine has been serviced a while ago but there are now issues!! back tension needs adjusting as that can cause the tape to run up the pinch roller causing tape damage chewing this only happens during cue search, peep search works perfectly (this is when the machine is in fast forward or rewind and you press and hold down the corresponding button you can see the picture) no issues during playback. The other issue is the VU leds no longer work a common issue with the HF100, also it appears to lose the picture after a few moments to minutes or plays throughout without any issues. Clock display works and is visible but dim another common issue. Due to these issues this item is being sold as spares or repairs only! Please note; no remote control also nothing else seen within the images or video is included, only the Betamax machine HF100 is for sale!!
