Please understand what this item does before buying, as returns are not accepted. The unit is fully functional. Its on firmware 2.20. A brief description is that it copies a devices EDID to get the supported audio formats, decodes the audio being sent to it, and downmixes it to stereo. A nice feature is the ability to change the loudness of the center channel in the mix (via serial connection). Its in pretty good condition apart from the text on the front. The LEDs are incredibly bright, so I put some museum wax on the front to hold a piece of film to dim them. Apparently it started dissolving the paint. Please see the pictures.
